Planex recently supplied steel storage for Bunjil Place project in the City of Casey. As well as delivering a thriving arts and entertainment precinct for the community, Bunjil Place has and will continue to promote many other far reaching benefits to the City Of Casey region.
One of those major benefits is the significant boost the project is injecting into the local economy through investing in the region and creating local jobs, and befre long will be attracting many visitors to Casey.
Since beginning work on Bunjil Place, Council together Multiplex have been committed to engaging local manufacturers and suppliers where possible for the project.
This adds to the list of other local businesses engaged to work on different elements of the project. Hallam based business Backcare and Seating were awarded the contract to supply seating for the workspaces and back-of-house areas and Bunjil Place.
Furniture designer and manufacturer Planex received a contract to provide storage solutions in various spaces throughout Bunjil Place. The family owned business has been operating in the region for more than 15 years.
Well regarded Casey catering business G’day Chef have been appointed to operate the café at Bunjil Place, ensuring visitors have delectable food and coffee to fuel their experience of the precinct. For over ten years now, chef Jason Galletti and his team have been providing catering services across Melbourne using the very best Victorian produce.
Mr Galletti said they were excited about their new challenge. ‘In line with what Bunjil place is trying to achieve, we want to bring the best to the south east and create the best food and coffee culture in Melbourne’.
Backcare and Seating Director Simon Van Darn said the business was also thrilled to be involved in the project. ‘Casey’s commitment to healthy workplace design is particularly exciting for us. The healthy work principals tie in with exactly what we provide as a business, so it is excellent to be involved in a project of this scope within our municipality,’ he said.
