Port Phillip Council

Project: Port Phillip Council
Location: St. Kilda, Victoria
Planex products: xLocker2 System, Linea Mobile Cabinet, Flox Planter Box
Lock technology: Yellowbox

Like many workplaces making adjustments to accommodate new ways of working and utilizing an agile workplace model, the City of Port Phillip undertook a review of their workplace and set out to increase the diversity of workspaces enabling different departments to collaborate and create multi-functional teams.

Planex’s xLocker2 System and the Linea Mobile acoustic Cabinets were selected, giving maximum flexibility to adapt to the changing work practices of council departments and individual employees.

The design of the xLocker2 System was customised with oversized lockers to accommodate the needs of employees who may have additional bags/bike helmets and other accessories to store throughout the day. The xLocker2 System was fitted with Yellowbox Smart Lock technology, allowing individuals to book a locker from a mobile phone app. This system allows the council to manage the lockers with ease.

The Council selected First Nations designer Lucy Simpson’s Buunhu perforation pattern with a raw finish to match elements within the existing interior fit-out.
