RMIT’s Design Hub is a progressive educational environment that houses a community of architects, designers, curators and students for collaborative design research and education. Design Hub’s creative, practice-led workspace is used for a wide range of flexible activities set within the purpose-built, 10-story building that houses The School of Architecture & Design. Designed across two levels in a raw steel finish, Planex’s steel lockers introduced a flexible end-of-journey experience to support student accessibility, and maximize social connection points and collaborative learning. Locker doors feature Linea acoustic punch patterns demonstrated to reduce noise in the workplace. A new joining system enables fast assembly and the ability to reconfigure and reuse and provides better flexibility than traditional locker storage.
