MECCA Support Centre

MECCA, Australia’s largest prestige beauty retailer, recently collaborated with Planex to implement the xLocker2 system in their Support Centre located in Richmond. Situated on the top floor of a warehouse, the space is filled with natural light, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The design incorporates elements from the mid-century era along with vibrant colours reminiscent of the 60s and 70s, adding pockets of visual interest against the predominantly white backdrop. These bursts of colour, strategically dispersed throughout the pristine white canvas, imbue the environment with an unmistakable vivacity akin to the essence of MECCA itself.

The prominent wall of lockers not only serves a functional purpose but also adds a visually appealing element to the space. The refurbishment and repurposing of furniture, including Planex’s Virtu lateral drawers and Egans Asset Management’s work on desktops, highlight a commitment to sustainability. This approach aligns with emerging practices in design and business aimed at reducing waste and CO2 emissions and, contributing to an eco-friendlier workspace.
